The Fabienne Colas Foundation’s BEING BLACK IN CANADA PROGRAM PODCAST

Presented by

Canada’s largest Mentorship & Training Program for Black Filmmakers presented by NETFLIX in collaboration with the National Bank and supported by Telefilm Canada and Canada Media Fund. This podcast series features interviews with filmmakers of the Being Black in Canada program and in-depth conversations with Canada’s most influential and foremost Black Filmmakers and Directors.

The Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Being Black in Canada Program was created to give a voice and a platform to Black creators in front and behind the camera in Canada, who would not otherwise, be seen or heard.

Being Black in Canada represents Canada’s largest mentorship, training, and creation program to be entirely dedicated to Black filmmakers. This important initiative, created by the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Youth and Diversity Program, aims to train, mentor and empower the next generation of Black Filmmakers in Cinema and Television.

In each exciting episode, young filmmakers will talk about their experiences in the Being Black in Canada program. How Being Black in Canada has benefited them and what messages they hoped to convey through their film.
