We can accomplish so much more with your help. Support the movement!

Black Filmmakers are the most marginalized and disenfranchised artists groups in the country. We need your help today to better support them.

Support the Fabienne Colas Foundation’s Youth & Diversity Program’s BEING BLACK IN CANADA, which will allow 20 underserved emerging Black Filmmakers in Montreal, Toronto, and Halifax to create their first short documentaries in 2020. And in 2021, the program will also open in Ottawa, Calgary, and Vancouver to welcome and support 35 new Black artists each year. The program provides FREE training, mentorship, professional equipment, editing studios, professional crews to assist them from beginning to the end of their filmmaking process. Then, we premiere their films at the Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax Black Film Festivals, as well as elsewhere.

Besides, the 2019 films were broadcast on National Television (CBC, Tele-Quebec, TFO).

Besides helping make their dream come true, your DONATION will change our Film Industry landscape and foster massive inclusion of diversity in front and behind the camera! Though we cannot provide a charity receipt, we appreciate your tremendous support that will help make a big impact.

Together we can create a more just society where Diversity, our country’s key asset, is valued, encouraged, and celebrated.
