HISTORY
After 15 years of spreading diversity off and on screen through the Fabienne Colas Foundation and Zaza Production, Fabienne Colas, award-winning actress, filmmaker, producer and founder of 8 festivals in Canada, the USA and Haiti, is proud to partner with Giros Films through Zaza Production to bring this great diversity movement to Salvador, Bahia (Brazil) – which holds one of the largest black populations outside of Africa.
Since 2005, all 8 festivals combined have attracted close to 1 million Festival-goers, obtained wide national and international media coverage, supported over 2,000 artists and welcomed high profile guests such as Harry Belafonte, Spike Lee, Stedman Graham, Danny Glover, Tarana Burke, Martin Luther King III, Dany Laferrière, Wyclef Jean, Alfre Woodard, P.K. Subban, Isaiah Washington, Louie Gossett Jr., Jennifer Holness, Clement Virgo, Souleymane Cissé and many more.
