Apr\u00e8s un 1er appel qui visait des candidats francophones plus t\u00f4t cette ann\u00e9e, <strong>ce 2<sup>e<\/sup> appel de candidatures vise uniquement des candidat.es noirs anglophones souhaitant r\u00e9aliser leurs films en anglais.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Veuillez noter que les autres appels \u00e0 candidatures 2020 pour le programme \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Toronto et Halifax pour 2020 sont ferm\u00e9s.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c0 propos du Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ce programme offre un accompagnement professionnel dans la production audiovisuelle d\u2019un court-m\u00e9trage avec pour th\u00e8me <strong>\u00ab\u00a0\u00catre noir.e \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong>. 10 jeunes cin\u00e9astes noir.es (5 francophones et 5 anglophones) b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront d\u2019un encadrement sur les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de la production audiovisuelle (sc\u00e9narisation, r\u00e9alisation, montage, post-production, etc.), r\u00e9aliseront un court-m\u00e9trage documentaire (de 8 \u00e0 10 minutes) chacun sous la tutelle de professionnels de l\u2019industrie et avec du mat\u00e9riel professionnel de l\u2019<strong>Inis<\/strong> (Institut national de l\u2019image et du son) et de <strong>Peak Media<\/strong> (Postproduction).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les \u0153uvres ainsi produites seront diffus\u00e9es en\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Premi\u00e8re mondiale au <strong>Festival du Film Black de Toronto<\/strong> &#8211; 10 au 15 f\u00e9vrier 2021;<\/li>\n<li>Premi\u00e8re atlantique au <strong>Festival du Film Black d\u2019Halifax<\/strong> &#8211; 26 au 28 f\u00e9vrier 2021;<\/li>\n<li>Premi\u00e8re qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise au <strong>Festival International du Film Black de Montr\u00e9al<\/strong> &#8211; septembre 2021;<\/li>\n<li>Potentiellement \u00e0 d\u2019autres festivals et\/ou \u00e9v\u00e8nements apr\u00e8s mars 2021 (\u00e0 confirmer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Les cin\u00e9astes traiteront \u00e0 travers le 7<sup>e<\/sup> art de l\u2019insertion sociale des personnes issues des communaut\u00e9s noires \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al. La FFC diffuse particuli\u00e8rement la culture noire (\u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, Toronto, Halifax, Ville de New York, Salvador \u2013 Bahia, Brazil) et la culture qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise (\u00e0 Port-au-Prince). Elle veut continuer \u00e0 \u00eatre un espace de discussion et de d\u00e9bats des grands enjeux culturels, sociaux et sociaux-\u00e9conomiques actuels \u00e0 travers des cin\u00e9-causeries, tables-rondes, conf\u00e9rences et autres. Le cin\u00e9aste participant au Programme est tenu de participer aux activit\u00e9s inscrites \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ch\u00e9ancier.<\/em><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Le jeune r\u00e9alisateur s\u2019engage \u00e0 respecter les consignes techniques (dur\u00e9e, format, etc.) et le th\u00e8me \u00ab\u00a0\u00catre noir \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al\u00a0\u00bb du programme.<\/li>\n<li>Le jeune r\u00e9alisateur a l\u2019enti\u00e8re libert\u00e9 du contenu \u00e9ditorial et cr\u00e9atif de son film et en sera l\u2019auteur. Toutefois, il en c\u00e8dera les droits mondiaux et pour une dur\u00e9e illimit\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019organisation (et les partenaires qu\u2019il d\u00e9signera), qui pourra, en tout ou en partie, diffuser ses films sur tous supports existants, les soumettre aux diff\u00e9rents festivals, les rendre accessibles gratuitement et\/ou les vendre \u00e0 des plateformes de diffusion (VOD, Web, T\u00e9l\u00e9vision etc), le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant.<\/li>\n<li>Le cin\u00e9aste doit assumer ses frais de d\u00e9placement et de nourriture pendant la dur\u00e9e du programme.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 7 \u2013 Entente de participation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tous les concurrents s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s devront signer une entente de participation contenant notamment des clauses d&rsquo;autorisation de diffusion, de cession, ainsi que des clauses relatives \u00e0 l&rsquo;utilisation de leur image par les commanditaires, partenaires financiers, l\u2019Organisateur, le producteur, le diffuseur, le respect des r\u00e8gles du programme, le tout sans r\u00e9mun\u00e9ration. to be back with a call for applications for its 2020 <strong>Being Black in Canada program (Being Black in Montreal)<\/strong>, presented by <strong>Netflix<\/strong> in collaboration with the <strong>National Bank<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Thanks to the support of<strong> Netflix, <\/strong>the<strong> National Bank, <\/strong>and the<strong> Media Fund, <\/strong>in addition to the 5 Black French-speaking Montreal participants, the program will also be able to welcome <strong>5 Black English-speaking artists from the Greater Montreal Region. <\/strong>After an initial call for French-speaking candidates earlier this year,<strong> this 2nd call for applications targets only Black English-speaking candidates wishing to make their films in English.<\/strong><\/p><p><em>Please note the 2020 other calls for applications for the Program in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax for 2020 are closed.<\/em><\/p><p><strong>About the Program<\/strong><\/p><p>This program offers professional mentorship in the audiovisual production of a short film with the theme of <strong>\u201cBeing Black in Montreal.\u201d<\/strong> 10 young, promising Black filmmakers (5 francophones and 5 anglophones) will be guided through the many steps in audiovisual production (screenwriting, directing, editing, post-production, etc.), and will create a documentary short (from 8 to 10 minutes). This process will be carried out under the professional tutelage of an industry professional with professional equipment from L\u2019<strong>Inis<\/strong> (l\u2019Institut national de l\u2019image et du son) and <strong>Peak Media <\/strong>(Postproduction).<\/p><p><strong>Their final work will be screened as:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>World Premiere at the <strong>Toronto Black Film Festival<\/strong> - February 10 to 15, 2021.<\/li><li>Atlantic Premiere at the <strong>Halifax Black Film Festival<\/strong> - February 26 to 28, 2021.<\/li><li>Quebec Premiere at the <strong>Montreal International Black Film Festival <\/strong>- September 2021.<\/li><li>Potential screenings to other festivals \/ events after March 2021 (tbd).<\/li><\/ul><p>Filmmakers will address the issue of social integration of people from black communities in Montreal through film.
